ALBUQUERQUE, NM, September 22, 2005--New Mexico based company, Gigablast, Inc., is one of three internet search firms which were recently awarded Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) from the U.S. Government's General Services Administration's E-Gov Solutions Search Program to provide internet search services for the U.S. Government's official web portal, FirstGov.gov. Gigablast was selected for the BPA award along with Pittsburgh, PA based Vivisimo, Inc. and Norwegian incumbent, FAST Search and Transfer. As a BPA awardee, Gigablast is now eligible to compete with other awardees for a series of task orders to be issued through September 19, 2010. The first such task order was awarded to Vivisimo, in partnership with Microsoft, this past Monday.
